Principio Furnace is an early industrial site nestled in the beautiful woods along Principio Creek of Eastern Shore Maryland . On many of his work breaks, Matthew will take a walk in the woods and find inspiration in the textures, lines and forms of nature. Such is the case with the texture on these candleholders as inspired by the various ripples and lines in tree bark. This texture is created by a process of hammering with a special tool into the sides of the material while white hot.

These hammered bark candleholders are very organic in design and present beautifully garnished with fresh green foliage. Designed to fit a standard taper. Finished with natural flat iron (as shown) or matte black. Hand crafted in our studio in Perryville, MD.
